Matthew Cookson, President & Founder
During his 25-year career, Matt has worked with and learned from leaders and innovators in the private sector, higher education and government. With a constant focus on strategic communications, and its role in advancing an organization, this invaluable experience is the platform on which he has built Cookson Strategies. Matt has held senior-level positions in higher education at UConn, New England College and the University System of New Hampshire, where he served as associate vice chancellor of external relations. Matt worked in the private sector for several years with PC Connection and a spin-off startup. He has also worked in state and federal government as a press secretary and legislative director.
Matt is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire where he teaches public relations courses, and is actively engaged in many boards and organizations throughout New Hampshire. Email Matt at email@example.com.
Christopher M. Williams, Vice President, Strategic Communications
Chris is a communications professional with nearly 20 years of success in a variety of settings including higher education, high tech, broadcast communications, clinical research, performing arts, and professional sports. His strategic communications experience features corporate communications, integrated public relations, marketing, and crisis planning and management. Chris’ specific strengths are reputation and brand management, public and media relations, internal communications, crisis communications and social media.
As an adjunct faculty member, Chris has taught strategic public relations at the University of New Hampshire; journalism and media writing courses at Michigan State University’s School of Journalism; and journalism and organizational communications courses in Concordia University’s journalism and accelerated degree programs. Meghan Marcus, Strategic Communications Coordinator
Meghan served as part of the adjunct CSC support team from time to time, while working full-time in the hands-on elementary science publishing industry as an editor. With the continued growth of CSC, Meghan was brought on in a full-time capacity to utilize her writing and communications skillsets and strong research capabilities. Happy to be back in communications where she feels she truly belongs, Meghan brings an eagerness to apply her strengths in the best ways possible to help CSC clients reach maximum exposure and recognize maximum results. Marian Caisse, Marketing Assistant
Marian brings 25 years of experience in the printing/advertising industry to CSC, including electronic prepress, graphic design and layout. Responsible for organization and production of all client electronic files, Marian handles projects from inception to completion including price lists, product information kits, brochures, newsletters, and event and trade show materials. Marian works with the latest graphic and design software as well as project management software for quotes, purchase orders, new projects and time management. Judy Davidson, Office Manager
Bringing over 25 years of accounting experience to Cookson Strategies, Judy ensures the day-to-day operations while she maintains accounts payable and receivable, and manages payroll functions. Judy also oversees the office space and manages supplies and equipment. In addition to her role at Cookson Strategies, Judy also serves as the Administrative and Events Manager for the NH High Tech Council, a role in which she tracks the operating budget, maintains the organization’s records and databases, and manages the many Council events.
